Can you help us with styling our session?

I focus on offering full sessions, which typically last between 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the session type. This approach ensures that we have ample time to connect, capture the perfect photos, and let your family - especially the little ones - enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. This relaxed pace allows for play, exploration, and truly authentic moments. I may offer exclusive "mini" sessions, once or twice a year.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Absolutely! I offer a comprehensive location guide that features photos of my favorite spots, along with tips for selecting the ideal setting for your session. I’m also more than happy to discuss options with you to find the perfect match for your family and the occasion. And with Whidbey Island’s stunning scenery every turn, we’re spoiled for choice!

Can you help us pick a location?

I specialize in candid photography, which means I focus on capturing authentic moments as they unfold. While I may offer gentle guidance or prompts to encourage natural interactions, I avoid stiff posing. Instead, I observe and capture moments as they happen, whether that means getting on the ground or wading into water. When working with kids, I let them take the lead, ensuring a fun and adventurous experience. You'll find a few classic "look at me and smile" poses, but I'm all about genuine, natural connection here!

Will you help us pose during our session?

A ‘full gallery’ means you’ll receive all the best images captured during your session - typically around 50 photos per hour of shooting. My style focuses on storytelling and capturing emotions, so your gallery will be a blend of candid documentary-style images, detailed close-ups, creative compositions, and a few traditional portraits to fully tell your family’s story. All sessions come in full color with select black and white images.

What is a "full gallery"?

To book birth services, we’ll first need to have an in-person or virtual consultation to ensure we’re a good fit. Please reach out through my contact form, and we’ll arrange a time to connect.

How do I book birth services?

Yes, in-home sessions are among my favorites! There’s something uniquely personal and cozy about capturing your family in your own space. Many people worry that their home needs to be picture-perfect, but that’s not true at all. I provide guidance to help you prepare, so your home feels ready for photos without any added stress.

Do you offer in-home sessions?

My session rates are all-inclusive, covering your session time, a full gallery of the best images, location and styling guidance, and a few sweet Polaroids to take home. A 50% non-refundable retainer is required for single sessions, and a 30% non-refundable retainer is required for collections at the time of booking. To make my services more accessible to all families, I offer flexible payment plan options starting with a 25% retainer, allowing you to manage payments over time. I also offer discounts for military families and first responders. Please note that all services are subject to WA state tax rates.

How much does it cost to book a session?

Since my style focuses on candid storytelling, I don’t provide sneak peeks. I believe in delivering a complete, thoughtfully curated gallery, which typically takes about 3-4 weeks to edit from start to finish.
