Motherhood has this way of turning your world upside down and right-side up all at once, doesn’t it? It’s full of those picture perfect moments you think will define everything. Only to realize it’s the messy, sleepless nights and the quiet, everyday moments that really shape the journey. That’s been my story. Becoming a mom cracked me open in ways I never expected. It brought a new depth to my life and my work and it’s what led me here. To Devoted Space and The Devoted Scrapbook.
When I became a mother, everything shifted. Suddenly, the little things like my daughter’s tiny fingers wrapped around mine, the way she smiled in her sleep, became everything. But it wasn’t all cozy moments. Like so many military spouses, I found myself navigating motherhood without the village we so often hear about; in a new place far from family. That’s where my journey as a doula and photographer truly began. What started as a way to capture and honor the fleeting moments of my own motherhood quickly grew into something much bigger. A way to connect with other moms and families and to honor their stories.
As a business owner, doula, and photographer, my mission has always been to create space. Space for rawness, connection, and the real, behind the scenes moments of motherhood. That’s exactly what I want The Devoted Scrapbook to be. A space where we can share stories, lessons learned, tips and tricks, and the parts of this journey that often go unspoken. A space where the imperfections are celebrated and where we lift each other up in community.
I’ll also be sharing the heart behind my photography. Each session I capture tells a unique story and I want to take you behind the lens to see the beauty of motherhood, family, and connection. It’s not just about the perfect shot. It’s about the real, raw moments in between, and I’ll be sharing more of those stories here. I’ll also be sharing tips and tricks to help you create your own beautiful memories, whether on your own or working with me.
And because community is everything, I’m excited to highlight other incredible moms and entrepreneurs who are juggling their own dreams while serving families in our area. There are so many amazing women out there offering resources, guidance, and support to moms. I want to create a space where we can come together, share those offerings, and build each other up.
So, whether you’re here for the stories behind the photos, looking for support and resources, or hoping to find a sense of connection, The Devoted Scrapbook is your space. It’s a place to celebrate the beauty and chaos of motherhood, to share in the wisdom we’ve gathered along the way, and to be reminded that we’re all in this together. Let’s inspire each other, lift one another up, and create memories worth cherishing. Because every story, every moment, no matter how small, is part of something bigger. Welcome to our community. Welcome to the journey.
