December 31, 2024
2025 is right around the corner, and for me, it feels like more than just a new year, it’s a turning point. It’s the final year of my 20s, a season of reflection, growth, and looking ahead to what’s next. As I step into this year, I’m carrying a mix of excitement, nostalgia, and a deep sense of purpose. It’s a good time for some New Year’s resolutions, the closing of a chapter.
This year will look different for me in many ways. There are a couple of big life chapters unfolding, ones that will bring change in ways I can’t fully predict yet. At the same time, I’m focusing on improving what already exists, refining the parts of my life and work that I love while staying open to what this new chapter might bring.
One thing I’ve learned is that it doesn’t have to be January 1st to set new resolutions. Growth can happen any time you choose it. Whether it’s the start of a new season, a life milestone, or even a random Tuesday, you have the power to reflect, reset, and move forward.
For me, 2025 just happens to align with both a new year and a couple of significant life changes. One of those is continuing the work I’ve started on my childbirth education course, which I hope to launch later in the year. It’s been a labor of love and I can’t wait to see it come to life.
If my 20s have taught me anything, it’s that growth doesn’t have to mean starting over. Sometimes it’s about taking what you’ve built and finding ways to make it even better. This year, I’m focusing on just that – leaning into what’s working, making room for creativity, and refining my work to serve my clients and community even more intentionally.
This final year of my 20s feels like the perfect time to pause and reevaluate. What matters most? What deserves my energy? For me, 2025 is about saying yes to the things that truly align with my values, both personally and professionally, and letting go of anything that doesn’t.
In my work, that means continuing to focus on telling meaningful stories through my photography. I want to capture the moments that feel raw and honest, the ones that reflect real connection and love. It also means staying intentional about how I show up, not just for my clients but for myself and my family.
As you think about your own New Year’s resolutions, or resolutions at any time of the year, I hope you’ll take a moment to honor where you’ve been and where you’re going. Whether you’re embracing big, bold changes or refining what’s already working, give yourself permission to grow in your own way.
For me, 2025 feels like a bridge, a year to soak up everything my 20s have taught me while stepping into new and exciting chapters. It’s a time for celebrating what is, dreaming about what’s next, and embracing the journey along the way.
Here’s to growth, intention, and making 2025 a year to remember!
